  • The Magic Makers version of the classic Card Toon deck
This trick deck is Magic Makers version of the original Card Toon deck by Dan Harlan, and features different art and animations from other versions. All you need is the trick deck and some instructions, and you’re set to go. The effect is a great stop-motion animation type effect, and is easily one of the more memorable magic tricks I do. The spectator may announces any card of his free choice, with no force involved, and this card is set aside. You then riffle through the deck, producing a stop motion animated effect. The climax of the animation? A reveal of the freely chosen card! This animation concept is both surprising and entertaining! The artwork in this Magic Makers version is different than Dan Harlan's original, which featured a stickman animation. In Card Toon 1 a stickman magician pulls the selected card out of a hat, while in Card Toon 2 a stickman magician is a circus performer who flies out of a cannon and bounces off a wall holding the selected card. Personally I prefer the graphic design of the original version, but that's largely a matter of personal taste. They’re all great! In the Magic Makers version there's an additional twist - if you get asked to repeat the trick, you can make the apprentice magician vanish with a "poof". Regardless of which version you prefer, spectators love the effect of the flip-board animation. While at times this entertaining feature can overshadow the magic of the final reveal, it almost always goes over well, and I often have people requesting to see it. While this deck is literally a one-trick pony, it’s well worth the investment given the great reactions it produces. - BoardGameGeek reviewer EndersGame
